The Perigon Miami Beach
OMA's first residential tower in Miami Beach, an 18-story sculpted form rising above 200 linear feet of private shoreline.
The Perigon is OMA's first residential tower in Miami Beach. The practice founded by Rem Koolhaas conceived it as several towers, rotated so that every residence looks toward the Atlantic, then merged into a single form traced with cascading lines that echo the movement of the water.
Lifted clear of the ground plane, the building appears to touch down only lightly, and its compact footprint leaves room for gardens by Gustafson Porter + Bowman beside 200 linear feet of private shoreline. Views take in the ocean, Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline.
Residences of two to four bedrooms, from 2,100 to 6,700 square feet, open from private elevators onto 10-foot ceilings and deep terraces facing the sea. Interiors are by Tara Bernerd & Partners, whose custom Italian kitchens are finished in honed marble. A residential butler, a house car and in-residence dining from a signature restaurant reserved for residents set the tone for daily life.
