A restored Miami Beach icon joins a contemporary 17-story glass tower of Rosewood residences on three oceanfront acres in the Art Deco district.
The Raleigh, A Rosewood Hotel and Residences, pairs one of Miami Beach's most storied hotels with a residential tower of its own. L. Murray Dixon's original 1940s hotel is restored together with the neighboring Richmond and South Seas, whose Art Deco facades are revived and woven into a hotel of 60 rooms and suites.
Developed by SHVO and conceived by architect Peter Marino, whose design takes its cue from the ocean and the motion of water, the three-acre estate at 1775 Collins Avenue adds a contemporary 17-story glass tower with unobstructed ocean views and direct beach access. The celebrated curving pool is restored amid lush greenery, and the Martini Bar and Tiger Room return, balancing period glamour with a modern edge.
Residents have their own sunrise and sunset pools, a spa and wellness center and a members-only beach club, set within winding gardens with sculpture by François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne. Rosewood manages the estate and brings its Asaya wellness concept to the hotel.
